Playing the part of hell's villainous residents, BABii explores what it means to be the antihero in her latest album, ‘Daredevil2000’, and she is inviting you to join her on this journey through the underworld by proxy. 

Following the success of her 2023 collaborative mixtape, 'Screamer,' BABii is set to take listeners on a journey through the circles of hell with her third album ‘DareDevil2000’. Championing her trademark balancing act of sweet vocals, beats that smack you in the gob, and distinct visual style. BABii amplifies herself as more than just an artist – she's a sonic storyteller and introspective explorer. Pushing limits and defying expectations, BABii is often praised for her innovative approach to her artistry, as well as her ability to craft emotionally resonant songs that push the boundaries of pop music.


BABii utilizes her creative process to delve into complex and challenging subjects, often capturing the intricacies of individuals and relationships by embodying them. In her mixtape 'Screamer,' she explored her sisters struggle with BPD by crafting a record from their perspective of pain. And 'DareDevil2000,' is no stranger to this process.


“DareDevil 2000 is my reflection on Hell and the villains it engulfs. As I’ve journeyed through this realm, creating this record and embodying these characters, I’ve found myself exploring how villains often emerge from environments akin to a personal hell, where the harsh realities of their existence fractures their moral compass as a means to survive. Rather than a final destination, Hell becomes their genesis, shaped by the harsh realities they exist in. Having grown up in fragments of this hell and broken free, I am lucky enough to intimately understand the intricate relationships with these villains who once played roles as my protectors, mentors, muses in my life, many of them who I still hold very close to my heart. This record is my tribute to the demonized, a celebration of survival  - and my sympathy for the devil.”

DareDevil2000 came to life during a week-long studio lock-in at Prah Studios, serving as BABii's triumph over her first-ever writer's block that transpired after her father's death in 2023. It was all thanks to the collaborative efforts of BABii’s music comrades coming together (Warpstr, Samuel Organ, Mun Sing, Iglooghost, Pholo and Grove) and their infectious enthusiasm, never ending creativity, and talent that allowed this project to rise from the ashes and exceed all expectations.


BABii describes the record essence ‘spiritual biometrics’ and it draws sonic inspiration from a diverse range of genres including Weightless Grime, Bassline, UKG, RNB, and Scam Rap, with nods to Mum Dance, Burial, Yeezus, Lil Ugly Mane, Jam City, and more. Conceptually, the record is influenced by a wide array of themes such as fictional villains, real villains, Robot Wars, monster trucks, biometrics, motorways, football hooliganism, prison, XL bullies, deepfake porn, scooby doo, batman and robin, DB Trashers, Call of the Wild and the list goes on.
